#YourNewMcdonalds Blogger Event Review
Ever since I started taking my blog a bit more seriously in the past year or so, I've been really lucky to receive opportunities to review products, restaurants and hotels etc. However, I've never hit my "I'VE MADE IT" moment until McDonald's cheekily slid into my emails (you naughty thing you).

I have a love-hate relationship with McDonald's. Firstly, I love having their 20 piece Chicken McNuggets and Fries in my belly. Secondly, I hate what it does to my waistline and chin count. So when I received an invitation to go behind the scenes to learn more about the new changes they've made within the company, how could I say no?!

I hold my hands up - I'm more of a drive-thru gal than an eat-in diner when it comes to McDonald's. That's why I was so surprised to see how different and modern the whole place looked when me and a couple of other bloggers walked through the restaurant. I remember the days of being greeted by a garish Ronald McDonald statue before entering a red and yellow themed restaurant. Now, it's totally different! It has a more pleasant (and easier on the eye) setting where you can actually eat and chillax without feeling disorientated. Also, both little and big kids can now entertain themselves with their newly installed child-friendly tablets on some of their tables. Parents can finally have 5 minutes to enjoy their burger and coffee without (much) interruption!

One of the big changes that McDonald's have made is the interactive digital kiosks where you can order your food from. If you're a regular dine-in customer, you may have already familiarised yourself with the fancy machines. I think they're amazing because it eliminates queueing time and the pressure of needing to order quickly. What's also good about the kiosks is that you can actually browse the menu and take your time to customise your order. You can also find out the nutritional information for everything on the menu too (something that I know I won't take advantage of because I like believing that my 20 McNuggets are only 200 calories). I never would've put McDonald's and table service together but it's FO' REAL GUYS! When you're ordering your food on the kiosk, you have the option to have your food delivered to the 'zone' you're sitting in - say goodbye to the anxiety of tripping up and dropping your tray on the floor!

The best part of this blogger event was when we had the chance to make own classic Big Macs. We were given our own apron, hat and name badge! Apart from needing to put on a hair net, I was completely sold at that point. We were then taken to where the magic happens (the kitchen guys, c'mon) and were given a quick tutorial on how to make the burger. I take my hat off to the staff though, everything was so fast-paced back there! I'm sure I would've had a mild breakdown in the corner of the kitchen if I worked there (whilst stuffing my face in hamburgers of course).

I honestly had a fantastic time at the blogger event. It really was a great experience to see how much McDonald's have changed - I can't wait to see what McDonald's will bring in the future! Hopefully they'll introduce gluten-free options on their menu, so that I can visit more often with my gluten-intolerant boyfriend!
