Why Planning Ahead Is Important

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Movenza coffee machine review why is planning important blog
For most of us, the majority of our week consists of work, eat and sleep (not complaining about the last two). That's why spare time and weekends are so important because that's when we have the time to do whatever needs to be done. One thing that I think is important to fit into your weekend schedule is to make time to plan ahead.

I love planning. I like to be in control of what's going on in my life and when things don't go to plan..? Sh*t hits the fan (no joke, ask the boyf). I'm a complete planning freak - I'll hold my hands up to that. Some people may see it as a bad thing, but I see it as a positive thing because planning means that I'll have things to look forward to. I like the feeling of anticipation and excitement because it gives me the motivation to keep grinding at work and to keep going when life gets a bit tough. Every so often, I like to pop in my favourite Latte Macchiato coffee pod into my Nescafe Dolce Gusto Movenza* and take out at least 20 minutes of my morning to plan. With only a few simple touches, this coffee machine was really easy to use - which is why it's perfect for impatient people like me, as there's no waiting 'for the kettle to boil' time. I find that starting my day off with a smooth cup of coffee helps me get into the zone.

If you want to start becoming more organised, start of by getting yourself a diary/journal. Every time there's an event or plan made for a specific date, jot it down. By getting into the habit of doing that, you'll be able to manage your time better. There's nothing worse than cancelling on someone/something because you've double-booked yourself. Planning can also stop you from missing out too! Can you imagine saying 'yes' to a lot of things throughout a specific period and then not realising until the time that you don't have the budget for it? If you'd planned beforehand and noted the events down, you'd have the chance to assess the risks before agreeing. And if there are, you'd have a higher chance of rearranging dates that would work better for you - meaning that you won't need to miss out (win-win)!

Best tip is to space out your plans throughout the year. That's how a year can just fly by! I've already got big holidays/events going on in March, May, July and October. That way, I've always got something to look forward to because next thing you know, it's Christmas! Of course, some of the best memories made doesn't come from just things that you've planned way in advance. Some of it come from spontaneous night outs or get-togethers etc. which is why spacing things out is a good idea, as it leaves room for spontaneity.

In all honesty, having things to look forward to is so important. Whether it's a date, a holiday or even a weekend off, planning in advance psychs you up with excitement. And the truth..? It keeps you happy. That's what we live for right?
