Office Beauty Essentials

Not many of you know but I've recently started my new job! Payrise, promotion, closer to home and in the beauty sector... what else can go right?!

Having been told that I should feel proud of myself, I still have to pinch myself from time to time because I can't believe how incredibly lucky I've been since finishing university just last year. So since settling in to my new office, one of the things on my agenda was to make sure that my new desk is well and truly stocked up with my office beauty essentials.

Ever since discovering the Burt's Bees brand by their lip balm range, Burt's Bees has become my go-to brand when it comes to on-the-go lotions and creams. I am currently loving their 'Tips and Toes' kit, which currently sits on my office desk:

  • Burt's Bees Hand Salve 8.5g
This hand salve is simply amazing. I always rub it onto the webs of my fingers every morning when I get to the office, as they tend to get dry. If I'm wearing sleeveless tops, I rub a bit onto my elbows too. The texture is really quite thick and a little does goes a long way. If you add a bit too much then you'd most likely be left with a greasy unabsorbable film on your skin.

  • Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream 8.5g
I love love love this product so much! It's such an essential cream. I've used cuticle oils before but none have really been office-friendly as oil prints were constantly transferred onto my computer keyboard. However, this cuticle cream from Burt's Bees is like a miracle in a tin as it absorbs really quickly and softens my cuticles almost instantly. Oh, did I also mention that it smells delicious?!

  • Burt's Bees Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream 20g
After my initial routine of applying the hand salve and cuticle cream, I apply this hand cream all over my hands to moisturise them. The texture is quite thin, so a little does go a long way. The product is really soothing and nourishing but the smell is too strong in my opinion. However, it's not enough to stop me using it, as the performance of the product is great.

  • Burt's Bees Replenishing Pomegranate Lip Balm 4.25g
If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'd know how much I love Burt's Bees' lip balms. I haven't tried the pomegranate flavour before purchasing this kit and I have to say that it's my least favourite flavour out of the Burt's Bees balms. It still does its usual fantastic job of nourishing lips, but this pomegranate version adds a subtle tint of colour, which I do honestly like. However, the fragrance of the balm is too strong in my opinion and puts me off buying the same tube.

The kit also contains:

  • Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream 20g
I haven't tested this foot cream out yet and obviously it doesn't sit on my office desk because I'm not going to just whack my feet out and start applying foot cream on casually (omg can you imagine). However, I have read many great reviews on this product and it seems like it could soothe and nourish my feet after a long day of wearing heels in the office.

  • Burt's Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Cream 7g
I haven't tried this hand cream yet as I'm waiting to finish my Honey & Grapeseed tube first. I also have read really good reviews on this product and the fragrance does smell much more enticing than the Honey & Grapeseed. Hopefully it'll perform as well as the other one does!

I absolutely love this kit from Burt's Bees. It has all the essentials that I need whilst I'm working away in the office. The fact that all of the products come in one kit for the price of £12.99 in Boots is such a bonus too. What's on your desk at your office?

  2. I've tried a few Burts Bees products before and they're so lovely! I especially liked the cuticle cream. It feels so nice on the hands and absorbs within the cuticles so well! Their lip balms are really lovely too and I love all the different flavours they have, I agree I did find the scent was quite strong to them as well. I like their honey scent though! :)
