Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016

My Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016 Sasa
If you know me, then you would know that I love everything to do with beauty. Whether that's make-up, skincare or haircare, I'm always buying new products to try out. Before I flew to Hong Kong, I was actually struggling to make a list of what I wanted to buy there. However, when I arrived and walked past Sasa (Asia's "Sephora")... everything changed.

As Sasa triggered the beauty-holic monster in me to surface, I'm going to show you the products I bought from Sasa, Innisfree and Bonjour.

My Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016 Maybelline, Innisfree, Berrisom

  • Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow (In all 6 colours. Lychee, Mixed-berry, Cherry, Peach, Orange and Raspberry).
One thing I love to do when I travel to different countries is to check out the country's Maybelline line. Every country seems to have at least one product range that is not available to buy in the UK, so I always try to make an effort to check them out. The Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow range caught my eye immediately when I walked into Sasa. I love the original Baby Lips Balm in the first place, so when I saw the balm coming in candy colours and in a retractable crayon design, there was no doubt that all six colours were going into my basket. Read my detailed review on this range here!

  • Berrisom Lip Tint Pack (In Sexy Red and Bubble Pink).
I've been seeing a lot of reviews on peel-off lip tints recently and I've been meaning to try them as I find the whole concept quite intriguing. A sales representative in Sasa introduced me to Berrisom Lip Tint Pack, so I bought them in two colours. Read my review on these here!

  • Innisfree Eco Fruit Tint (In Cherry and Orange).
I normally prefer lip tints over lipsticks because constant reapplication is needed when I wear lipstick in the day. I saw this lip tint in an Innisfree store and read that this tint contains fruit extracts. I swatched the testers on my wrist and they were both really pigmented and smelt exactly like cherries and oranges! I can't wait to test out the longevity of this product.

  • Innisfree Eco Flower Tint (In Rose).
Innisfree's Eco Flower Tint is similar to the Eco Fruit Tint range. The main difference is that it contains flower extracts and comes in a more creamier texture than the Eco Fruit. This product was a bit pricier than the Eco Fruit Tint, so I'm guessing this tint has better colour and durability? I'll have to do a test and do a comparison to see.

My Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016 Innisfree, Evian, Nature Republic, Mandom Corp, Hakugen, Biore

  • Innisfree Best Loved Collection (Deluxe samples).
I received this collection as a welcome gift when I signed up to their emails when I was purchasing my lip tints. The Best Loved Collection consisted of Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum, Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream. It was a really nice surprise to receive it, as I wasn't expecting any samples or gifts.

  • Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Gel.
I remember the huge craze around this product a couple of years ago. It was all over the internet and was the best-selling gel in South Korea. So when I walked past Bonjour (cosmetics and health store) and saw that they had this gel on sale, me and my mum bought a tub each to try out.

  • Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray.
It wasn't until recently when the UK had started to sell this facial spray. I love this product because it hydrates your skin and keeps you cool and refreshed in the Summer. It was pretty cheap to buy in Hong Kong, so I bought two in the hope to get me through this Summer... if we have one that is haha.

  • Mandom Corp Facial Foam Collagen.
I love facial cleansers that foams up a lot. It makes me feel like it cleans my face a lot better - it's a mental thing, I don't know why. I saw this cleanser in Sasa but as it was in Japanese I had to ask the sales adviser on the benefits of this product. She told me it's one of the best foaming cleansers that they've sold as it removes oil, dirt and make-up residue whilst slowing down collagen depletion. I was instantly sold after hearing that, as collagen keeps your skin looking young.

  • Biore Men's Facial Wash (Cool).
I bought this facial wash for my boyfriend because I kept stealing his Clean & Clear Facial Foam Cleanser when my own cleanser ran out. As I used half of his bottle, I thought I'd buy him one of the top-selling men's cleansers from Hong Kong to say sorry haha.

  • Hakugen Oil Clear Film.
Every time someone or myself travels to East Asia, I always ask them to help me buy oil blotting paper because it's so so cheap there. It's around a pound for a pack of 70 sheets of paper and they act as my skin and make-up saviour because I have very oily skin. As I always have a pack of blotting paper in my handbag, I took the chance to stock up whilst I was in Hong Kong.

My Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016 Sasa

  • Chanti False Eyelash 10-pair pack (No. 711).
False Eyelashes are a must for me if I'm going on a night-out. Spending around £6 for a fresh pair of Eylure lashes every time I go out can get annoyingly pricey at times. So when I saw this 10 pair pack in Sasa, I thought I'll give them a go and see if they could ever replace my much-loved Eylure lashes.

  • Noble Flulifuari Full Rival Twist Comb.
This hair tool helps to transform your long hair to a glam bouffant updo. I bought this from Sasa because the instructions seemed quite easy to follow. However, I do question if it could hold my thick hair.

  • Noble Flulifuari Sleep-in Sponge Rollers.
I picked this up from Sasa because I felt like these rollers would be a lot comfortable than my big sleep-in rollers that I currently own. Instead of velcro, it is made out of soft rubber. It doesn't sound too comfortable but I am planning to put them onto the mid to tips of my hair so that my head isn't uncomfortably raised when I sleep. I bought two because I didn't think that six would be enough, as my hair is too long and thick.

  • Sasatinnie Heated Eyelash Curlers.
I used to own heated eyelash curlers but when they broke I never looked for a replacement. Whilst I was in Sasa, I saw their own-branded heated curler and remembered my old ones broke so I instantly bought it. I wonder how they'll perform.

My Hong Kong Beauty Haul 2016 Sasa, BCL, Maybelline Baby Skin BB Watergel

  • BCL Browlash Ex Water Strong Liner (In Deep Brown and Black).
I love liquid eyeliners with a felt tip application. I currently use my Loreal Paris Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner, which is great but sometimes the colour can rub off along my lash line on my lids. Since this Japanese brand claims that this eyeliner is waterproof and smudge-proof for up to 24 hours, I bought the eyeliner in both black and deep brown to try out.

  • Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser.
I've seen this product in UK drugstores for a while now but I never thought about buying it as I don't really wear primer. When I was in Sasa, I stood by the Maybelline stand for a good 20 minutes debating on what to purchase. Throughout that time, at least three girls came over and grabbed the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser which made me think that I've been disregarding a good product all this time. So I quickly put one in my basket before it sells out.

  • Maybelline Pure BB Mineral Watergel.
This product is not sold in the UK yet and is part of the Asian Maybelline line. I don't really like wearing my MAC Studio Fix Foundation on a daily to work as I feel like the coverage is too full and a bit cakey. This BB gel seems like it'll give me the perfect light-medium coverage that I want in the day without clogging up my pores, However, as I bought this product before I went to Bali, my skin has tanned so much so I doubt that I'll be able to wear this BB gel now and will have to wait until my tan wears off a bit.

This has been quite a long post and I hope that you enjoyed my first beauty haul. I haven't had the chance to try the products out yet but I will definitely try them out really soon. I'll be reviewing quite a few products from my haul, so follow my Bloglovin' to stay tuned. Let me know if you would like me to do a review on a specific product and I'll try my best to do one for you!

  1. great post x

  2. Lovely post! I just followed you on bloglovin' sometimes I always forget I have an account on there I really should keep it updated. I really enjoy your blog and will definitely be adding you to my blogroll. :)

I love a good Asian makeup haul! Just the other day I visited my local Japanese store and picked up some goodies! Sasa is definitely on my list of places to visit when I am in Asia! I bet it is heaven in there. You've picked up so many nice products, I'd love to know your full thoughts and review on a few of them especially the eyeliners and Browlash eyebrow - I recently bought a similar product from that Browlash brand for my mum and it has a liquid pen on one end and a crayon pencil on the other and the shade is really nice because it has a moss ash tone to it. I would love to also see what you think of those lip tints too! I love Evian facial sprays, I use to use them years ago but then I couldn't find them available here in Aus anymore. But, any facial spray is a favourite for me, can't live without them! :)

    1. Awe thanks Jennifer, I've added you to my blogroll too! I'm the same, I tend to forget about having a Bloglovin account but I'm starting to get back into the swing of things now. Yes, you'll have to visit Sasa when you go to Asia, you won't be disappointed ;) The eyeliner is going great at the moment. I've been testing them out and they stay on really well. I will do a full review on those lip tints so stay tuned for those ;) xx
